EHIF: Center of Alpine Sports Biomechanics - CASB

The Center of Alpine Sports Biomechanics (CASB) adapts and develops technology to make human movement in sport measurable. The new technological possibilities are used in sport to reduce the risk of injury, optimize performance and make sport more understandable for spectators.

CASB works in close cooperation with international federations (e.g. International Olympic Committee (IOC), International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS), national organizations (e.g. Swiss Council for Accident Prevention (BFU)) and academic partners (e.g. Balgrist University Hospital, ETH, Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, WSL - Snow and Avalanche Research Institute SLF) on the optimization of snow sports facilities and with industrial partners on the development of technology for tracking human movement.
